Q4 2023 Roundup: Top Theme Parks Apps in Europe on Unified Platform

As the year 2023 wrapped up, we saw interesting trends in the usage of theme park apps across Europe. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the performance of the top five theme parks apps in the final quarter of the year. Here's how they fared:

Disneyland® Paris saw a noticeable uptick in downloads, peaking at around 83K in the last week of December. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a significant increase to approximately 165K in the same period. Revenue remained steady with slight fluctuations, ending the quarter at about $394K.

Europa-Park & Rulantica experienced a rollercoaster in downloads, initially starting strong at around 28K, dipping to approximately 6K, and then climbing back up to around 19K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar pattern, with a high of around 35K in October and a rebound to about 22K during the festive season.

Port Aventura had a varied quarter with downloads starting at around 10K, reaching a high of approximately 15K, and then decreasing to about 3K before rising again to 11K by year's end. The weekly active users showed resilience, maintaining numbers around the mid-20K mark at the start and end of the quarter despite some dips.

Alton Towers Resort — Official saw downloads begin at 11K, surge to around 23K, and then fall to just under 600 before a modest recovery to 1.4K in the festive week. Active users peaked at nearly 40K in October but saw a decrease, ending the quarter at roughly 20K.

Phantasialand had its downloads fluctuate between 7K and 2K, with a notable rise to over 10K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users demonstrated growth, from about 11K at the beginning of the quarter to over 13K in the last week.
